Fantasy
A city built in a fallen god-weapon, where guilds rule, delvers vanish, and every choice echoes through tunnels of chitin, ash, and ambition. Welcome to Odrun Fell, a Friends and Fables adventure!
Author's Note: Welcome to Odrun Fell, a Friends and Fables adventure into a world carved from myth and bone, where a shattered god-weapon's remains fuel a city of ambition, ritual, and ruin. From the lacquered towers of the Sprigs to the ichor-slick markets of the Barrows, every breath in this living graveyard is measured in trade, loyalty, and danger. Here, delvers vanish into the greatclub tunnels, masked beasts drift through haunted groves, and the softest words can carry more weight than any blade. The guilds squabble for dominance, adventurers bleed for coin or cause, and the club itself waits beneath it all like a buried truth.
This game is a journey into beauty and rot, into candlelit politics and chitin-armored survival. Whether you walk with Cudgel steel, Promissory blades, or Barley-bred spiders on your shoulder, your choices will echo through the halls of power and the bones of the world. Odrun Fell is a city of many doors, how will you play in this adventure?

appearance
A lean and wiry half-orc rogue with dusky grey-green skin and short-cropped black hair that’s always one day from unruly. His modest tusks are filed down, and he has bright golden-brown eyes that are always watchful. He wears a sleek Cudgel officer’s jacket reinforced with soft chitin panels, wrapped in a deep crimson sash tied at the waist. A slim blade hangs at his hip, along with a pouch of inspection tools, false-paper markers, and sealing wax. His boots are dusted from hours on the causeway but polished as if expecting a review. He carries a faint scent of oil, ink, and fresh mint chew, moving like he’s part of the gate itself—quiet, necessary, and always a step ahead.
personality
Fen is sharp, sly, and devastatingly good at making people underestimate him. He talks fast, smiles easily, and blends a rogue’s charm with a soldier’s discipline. To friends, he’s loyal to the end; to strangers, he’s polite—but calculating. Fen has a dry wit, a sharp tongue, and a genuine love for his work—not for the rules, but for the balance he keeps at the gate. He believes in giving people chances, especially those who come from nothing, but he’s not naïve. If someone tries to cheat the line, he’ll catch it—then give them just enough rope to see where they run. He respects the Cudgel but distrusts the Promissory, especially their scribes who "lose" things in ledgers. Fen prefers quiet victories, unseen heroics, and getting home with clean boots and a story to laugh about over lantern-lit soup.
backstory
Fennrik Drosh, called Fen by most, was raised within sight of the Gate of Tines, where his mother worked as a courier and his father died defending the checkpoint from a tunnelback swarm. He grew up watching guards, scribes, smugglers, and pilgrims all pass through the mandible-lined arch, learning quickly who lied with their eyes and who shook hands like they were hiding blades. Though smaller than most of the Cudgel hopefuls, Fen made up for it with speed, instinct, and a knack for tracking the unseen. He started as a runner for inspection patrols, then earned his badge after catching a double-smuggler working under Promissory papers. Now, he’s the Cudgel’s youngest active inspector at the Gate—working both the lines and the shadows, vetting new delvers, sniffing out fakes, and keeping the chaos in check without needing to draw steel unless someone really insists.
