A city built in a fallen god-weapon, where guilds rule, delvers vanish, and every choice echoes through tunnels of chitin, ash, and ambition. Welcome to Odrun Fell, a Friends and Fables adventure!

Author's Note: Welcome to Odrun Fell, a Friends and Fables adventure into a world carved from myth and bone, where a shattered god-weapon's remains fuel a city of ambition, ritual, and ruin. From the lacquered towers of the Sprigs to the ichor-slick markets of the Barrows, every breath in this living graveyard is measured in trade, loyalty, and danger. Here, delvers vanish into the greatclub tunnels, masked beasts drift through haunted groves, and the softest words can carry more weight than any blade. The guilds squabble for dominance, adventurers bleed for coin or cause, and the club itself waits beneath it all like a buried truth. This game is a journey into beauty and rot, into candlelit politics and chitin-armored survival. Whether you walk with Cudgel steel, Promissory blades, or Barley-bred spiders on your shoulder, your choices will echo through the halls of power and the bones of the world. Odrun Fell is a city of many doors, how will you play in this adventure? Thank you for playing Friends and Fables!

appearance
Deylan is graceful and long-limbed, his half-elven features softened by years of exposure to steam, sun, and pollen. His skin is golden-brown and flecked with faint sun-spots, his hair a silvery moss green pulled into a long, low tail. His eyes are a deep amber ringed with pale green, always half-lidded as if caught between contemplation and dreaming. He wears loose, pale robes woven from nectar-thread and trimmed with chitin lace, layered for both utility and modesty. Small ceramic vials and floral glyph-charms hang from a sash around his waist. His scent is sweet and clean—like nectar and mossy stone. His voice carries the same tone as the pools he tends: slow, soothing, and deep with resonance. When he walks the curved shell paths between the reservoirs, even the beetles seem to pause and listen, as if recognizing one of their own.
personality
Deylan is thoughtful and unfailingly gentle, with the sort of calm presence that makes even the skittish beetles still their wings when he approaches. He speaks rarely and softly, often seeming lost in thought—though he’s always listening. He sees his stewardship not as ownership, but as symbiosis: a role of service, not control. He has no patience for arrogance, especially from those who visit the Pools without understanding their delicacy. His emotions run deep but slow, like honey in the cold—he may forgive, but never forget. Deylan has a deep respect for lineage, memory, and the quiet wisdom of natural rhythms. Though not overtly religious, his connection to the nectar is almost spiritual, and he sees its shifts as a form of divine language—one he is still learning to translate.
backstory
Deylan Thist has served as a Brimwatcher since he was sixteen, inheriting the title and its intricately petal-bound journal from his grandmother. He was raised in the hush of steam-hung dawns and the slow, sacred rhythms of beetle movement, taught that even a careless breath could shift the nectar’s bloom. His half-elven blood made him sensitive to the subtle cues that affect beetle appetite and nectar saturation, a trait that elevated him quickly among the Barleys' inner Sweetmaw breeders. Though quiet, he’s been credited with rescuing two full cycles of ruined nectar during a fungal bloom by rebalancing the algae with mineral heat stones—a solution he found scrawled in a half-faded note from a Brimwatcher six generations dead. Now, Deylan records his own notes with the same reverence, all while navigating the growing pressure from Sprigs nobility eager to monetize what was once a sacred balm.
