FriendsAndFables

A city built in a fallen god-weapon, where guilds rule, delvers vanish, and every choice echoes through tunnels of chitin, ash, and ambition. Welcome to Odrun Fell, a Friends and Fables adventure!

Author's Note: Welcome to Odrun Fell, a Friends and Fables adventure into a world carved from myth and bone, where a shattered god-weapon's remains fuel a city of ambition, ritual, and ruin. From the lacquered towers of the Sprigs to the ichor-slick markets of the Barrows, every breath in this living graveyard is measured in trade, loyalty, and danger. Here, delvers vanish into the greatclub tunnels, masked beasts drift through haunted groves, and the softest words can carry more weight than any blade. The guilds squabble for dominance, adventurers bleed for coin or cause, and the club itself waits beneath it all like a buried truth. This game is a journey into beauty and rot, into candlelit politics and chitin-armored survival. Whether you walk with Cudgel steel, Promissory blades, or Barley-bred spiders on your shoulder, your choices will echo through the halls of power and the bones of the world. Odrun Fell is a city of many doors, how will you play in this adventure? Thank you for playing Friends and Fables!

Description

The Glowhives are one of the places in the Shroud where the light flourishes, but not in a welcoming way. These ancient, semi-organic structures formed when the Shroud had just started to be saturated with the magic of the greatclub. Over generations, the magic created Glowbees and twisted their queens into Hive-Sovereigns. Each hive is led by these deadly broodmothers who exude pheromones capable of driving explorers mad if they venture too close. The Glovehives are a very rich destination for harvesters and arcanists because they have radiant honey called sunspill. Sunspill has unique properties that allow it to restore vitality and guard the mind from any mind altering magic. Harvesting even a thimble of Sunspill is a lethal challenge, but many still try. The Promissory funds small expeditions here, using desperate delvers to retrieve what they can.

Appearance

The Glowhives shimmer in the gloom of the Shroud like a cluster of stars trapped beneath the canopy. Towering hive structures—some taller than watchtowers—rise from the forest floor and cling to the trunks of ancient trees, their surfaces pulsating with golden light. These chitinous domes glow from within, lit by bioluminescent nectar and swarms of massive glowbees with translucent wings that hum like a chorus of bonesaws. Trails of luminous pollen drift on the air like snow, and the forest around the Glowhives is carpeted in bright moss and fluorescent fungi, casting eerie halos across the clearing. Yet, beneath the beauty, the hum never stops—and neither do the stares of the hive’s hidden sentries.
