The Senate House is a meeting place for the Senate. The Senate House is a domed building. Percy described the inside of the Senate House to be like a high school lecture hall. A semicircle of tiered seats faced a dais with a podium and two chairs. One of the chairs has a small velvet package on the seat. After the Battle of Camp Jupiter, cracks in the dome glistened with silver adhesive. The walls of some buildings had been hastily replastered. The Senate is a council of ten senators elected from the legion at Camp Jupiter. It gathers in the Senate House of New Rome where the senators discuss issues that arise, such as deciding whether or not quests are to be granted or whether or not to go to war.
