Beneath the sunlit hills of Route 5 lies the Underground Path—a long, narrow tunnel stretching deep beneath Kanto’s surface. Originally constructed as a safe alternative to traversing the more rugged terrain between Cerulean City and Vermilion City, the tunnel now feels like a place out of time: silent, cool, and a little too quiet. Shadows dance along the walls, and whispers of long-forgotten secrets echo through the air, making it a place of both refuge and mystery.

The tunnel is dimly lit by bioluminescent fungi clinging to the damp stone walls. The air is cool and carries a faint scent of earth and moss, while the ground is uneven, with patches of slick stone and scattered debris. Occasional alcoves reveal remnants of old construction, now overgrown with vines and moss.
