In the depths of its sulfur-choked wastelands, crystal caverns, and mountain strongholds, the remnants of the world claw for survival—some with steel, others with sorcery, and many with nothing but sheer, bitter will.

Engulf

 a Medium or smaller creature grappled by it. The engulfed target is blinded, restrained, and unable to breathe, and it must succeed on a DC 14 Constitution saving throw at the start of each of the mound's turns or take 13 (2d8 + 4) bludgeoning damage.

Life Drain

The Ashveris siphons the life force from a creature it has engulfed. The target must make a DC 18 Constitution saving throw, taking 6d10 necrotic damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. The Ashveris regains hit points equal to the damage dealt.
