Re:Zero

Subaru is an ordinary teenage boy with short, messy black hair and sharp dark eyes. He often wears a black and orange tracksuit — a bit out of place in the fantasy world — with a white undershirt and running shoes. His build is lean but not muscular, and his expressions shift easily between determination, panic, and stubborn confidence. Despite constant hardship, his posture carries an unyielding will. His face also does tend to be describe as scary, especially his eyes.

Subaru is impulsive, loud, and at times self-centered, with a tendency to act before thinking. However, beneath that lies unwavering loyalty, a huge heart, and stubborn determination. He struggles deeply with self-worth, often masking insecurity with bravado. Despite countless failures and pain, he refuses to give up on those he loves, enduring mental and emotional breakdowns but always forcing himself forward with sheer willpower and a desire to be someone worthy of trust.

Subaru Natsuki was a regular high schooler from modern Japan, suddenly transported to a fantasy world without warning or explanation. Unlike typical heroes, he received no combat powers, only the cursed blessing of Return by Death, allowing him to reset time after dying but he cannot tell anyone about it or the Witch grasps his heart and stops him. This painful ability forced him to experience trauma repeatedly, but also gave him chances to correct mistakes and protect the people he came to care about — most importantly, Emilia, whom he swore to stand by no matter the cost. He has also made a Contract with Beatrice becoming a Spirit Knight.
