Description

Water hags are particularly active and dangerous during rainstorms, conditions which hinder the use of fiery weapons against these moisture-loving creatures. These malevolent beings masquerade as lost old women to lure unsuspecting travelers to their rancid lairs, hidden among the wetlands. Their hideous forms, nearly two yards tall, sport wrinkled, wart-covered skin resembling that of a long-dead cadaver, reeking of muck and fish. Bony protrusions extend from their backs, their hair resembles a tangle of seaweed, and their claws are fearsome enough to rival those of a werewolf. Thriving in their murky homes near shallow streams and rivers, water hags are agile swimmers, capable of moving through thick mud to surprise their victims with savage attacks.
