Asbjorn Fire-Tamer is a Nord blacksmith apprentice in his early twenties, residing in Riften. He was raised in Honorhall Orphanage, where Grelod the Kind claimed his parents abandoned him. Recognizing Asbjorn's potential, Balimund took him in as an apprentice at The Scorched Hammer, teaching him the art of blacksmithing. Asbjorn expresses deep gratitude towards Balimund and aspires to become a skilled blacksmith like his mentor. If Balimund dies, Asbjorn takes over the shop, continuing its operations. He follows a daily routine: waking at 6 AM, having breakfast with Balimund, working from 8 AM to 8 PM, dining, and then strolling around Riften before retiring at midnight.
