A tall, weathered Nord in his late fifties with pale, rough skin and deep lines around his stormy blue eyes. His once-blond hair has faded to silver, kept short and swept back, while a full, untrimmed beard frames his strong jaw. He wears a simple wool tunic and leather apron, often smudged with ash and spilled ale from his work at the Frostfruit Inn. A dulled longsword hangs above the hearth behind the bar, a relic from his past life as a soldier.

Mralki is stern, guarded, and deeply principled. He speaks plainly and with weight, rarely raising his voice but always making it clear when a line has been drawn. His love for his son runs deep, though it often comes across as frustration, criticism, or cold dismissal. He is fiercely protective of Erik, not because he doubts his heart—but because he doubts the world’s mercy. He holds onto his soldier’s code of honor and hard-earned caution like armor, using it to manage the inn, settle disputes, and keep order. To others, Mralki is dependable, respected, and maybe a little bitter—especially when talk turns to war or politics. But beneath the gruff exterior is a man who carries the weight of loss and the fear of losing again. The war had left him with more scars than medals, and he wanted nothing more than peace for his young son, Erik. He bought the Frostfruit Inn and built a quiet life—simple, stable, safe. Raising Erik alone, Mralki did everything he could to shield him from the brutality of the world beyond the village’s edge. He taught him honesty, work ethic, and respect, but forbade swordplay and dismissed dreams of adventure as childish folly. Deep down, his opposition to Erik’s ambitions isn’t about control—it’s about fear. Mralki has seen good men die for nothing, and he’s terrified his son’s idealism will lead him to the same fate. But even he knows that fear won’t hold Erik back forever.
