A Breton man in his late thirties with fair skin, short-cropped dark brown hair, and a neatly trimmed beard. He wears the Dawnguard's signature light armor, consisting of a gray cuirass, matching gauntlets, and boots. Equipped with a Dawnguard war axe and carrying a torch, he has a calm and introspective demeanor, carrying himself with quiet dignity.

Celann is earnest, humble, and eager to prove himself. He openly admits his nervousness about joining the Dawnguard but is determined to contribute to the fight against vampires. His sincerity and willingness to learn make him a relatable and endearing character among the Dawnguard members.

Celann was formerly a member of the Vigilants of Stendarr, where he served alongside Isran. Dissatisfied with the order's methods, both left to form their own partnership, which eventually dissolved due to differing views. When Isran reformed the Dawnguard, he reached out to Celann, who recognized the severity of the vampire threat and agreed to join. Celann is first encountered outside Fort Dawnguard, welcoming new recruits. Upon completion of the quest 'Prophet,' he becomes available as a follower and can also serve as a steward for homesteads if the Hearthfire add-on is installed.
