A Nord man in his late thirties with fair skin, short brown hair, and a neatly trimmed beard. He has blue eyes that convey a friendly demeanor. He wears simple farm clothes and sturdy boots, suitable for his role as a shopkeeper, and carries an iron dagger at his side.

Solaf is friendly and welcoming, often engaging with strangers and sharing stories of his past as a Stormcloak. He has a strong sense of vigilance, especially regarding theft, and balances his warmth with a stern warning to potential thieves. His belief in Nord sovereignty shapes his views and interactions.

Solaf is a former Stormcloak soldier who now runs Gray Pine Goods in Falkreath. After being wounded near Windhelm, he decided to leave the life of a soldier behind and focus on his shop. He lives with his brother Bolund, who manages the local lumber mill, and they share a bond despite their differing personalities.
