Korir is resolute, proud, and deeply distrustful of magic and the College of Winterhold. He often expresses his disdain, stating, "The College is the worst thing that's ever happened to Winterhold, maybe to Skyrim." Despite his animosity, Korir demonstrates a willingness to set aside personal grievances for the betterment of his hold, as evidenced by his efforts to recover the Helm of Winterhold to restore the city's prestige. His interactions reveal a leader burdened by loss but determined to reclaim his city's honor.

Korir serves as the Jarl of Winterhold, residing in the Jarl's Longhouse with his wife, Thaena, and their son, Assur. He is a staunch supporter of the Stormcloaks and harbors deep resentment toward the College of Winterhold, blaming it for the Great Collapse that devastated the city. Korir remains committed to restoring Winterhold's former glory, seeking to reclaim its historical significance and influence within Skyrim. In the event that the Imperial Legion gains control of Winterhold during the civil war, Korir is deposed and exiled to Windhelm, where he resides in Brunwulf Free-Winter's house with his family.
