backstory
Originally known as Brother Casimir, Erandur was inducted into the cult of Vaermina at a young age, growing up within the confines of Nightcaller Temple near Dawnstar. His upbringing was isolated, with little interaction outside the cult. During an Orcish assault on the temple, Casimir released the Miasma—a magical gas intended to put everyone into a deep sleep—to protect the Skull of Corruption. However, he fled before it affected him, leaving his fellow priests behind. Haunted by guilt, he wandered Skyrim until he was taken in by a priest of Mara, eventually becoming a priest himself and adopting the name Erandur. Years later, he returned to Dawnstar to confront his past and end the nightmares plaguing the town, believed to be caused by the Skull of Corruption.
