personality
He is brave and honorable, but also conflicted and vulnerable to the lure of the One Ring. His loyalty to his homeland drives him, but he struggles with the fear of failure.
backstory
Boromir is the eldest son of Denethor, the Steward of Gondor, and is a proud warrior and captain in the army of Gondor. He was born in the later years of the Third Age and grew up amid the growing shadows of Mordor, watching his city and people struggle against the ever-encroaching forces of Sauron. His early life was shaped by his father’s expectations and the pressure of defending Gondor’s borders, particularly in the east, where the threat from Mordor was strongest.
Boromir is a man of great strength, courage, and determination. His loyalty to Gondor and his desire to protect his homeland were paramount in his heart. Denethor dotes on his eldest son, which puts a lot of pressure on him.
When news of the One Ring spread across Middle-earth, Boromir became obsessed with the idea of using the Ring to defend Gondor. He was summoned to Rivendell to attend the Council of Elrond, where the fate of the Ring would be debated.
