Description
The final evolution of Corvapse, the Apoploox is a large, skeletal crow known as the Bird Reaper. It preys on souls and sorrow, inducing fear and paralysis with its haunting cry. Its feathers absorb light, rendering it nearly invisible in dim light, making it a terrifying predator of the night.

Fear Scream (Recharge 5-6)
The Apoploox emits a terrifying psychic cry. Each creature within 60 feet that can hear it must succeed on a DC 14 Wisdom saving throw or be frightened for 1 minute. While frightened, the creature is also paralyzed. An affected creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending both effects on itself on a success.
Incorporeal Movement
The Apoploox can move through other creatures and objects as if they were difficult terrain. It takes 5 (1d10) force damage if it ends its turn inside an object.
Light-Eating Plumage
In dim light or darkness, the Apoploox can use a bonus action to become invisible until it attacks, casts a spell (uses Fear Scream), or enters bright light.
Multiattack
The Apoploox makes two Talon attacks.
Talons
Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 12 (2d6 + 5) slashing damage plus 7 (2d6) necrotic damage.
