appearance
A middle-aged Imperial Human male with thinning hair and a well-groomed beard, Forge Master Villem wears a patchwork of Mechanicus robes adorned with various insignias. His eyes are bright and expressive, often betraying his emotions despite his attempts to maintain a composed demeanor. He carries a data-slate at all times, filled with notes and plans that he frequently refers to, though they often lead to no tangible results. His hands are stained with oil and soot, a testament to his hands-on approach to leadership, even if it is ultimately ineffective.
personality
Villem is outwardly friendly and approachable, often using humor and charm to disarm those around him. However, beneath this facade lies a deep-seated insecurity and a desperate need for validation. He is often oblivious to the frustrations of his subordinates, believing that his energetic demeanor will win them over. His inability to resolve conflicts only adds to the growing resentment among the adepts, who see him as a figurehead rather than a true leader.
backstory
Once a promising adept in the Lathe Worlds, Villem rose to the position of Forge Master through charm and charisma rather than competence. His gregarious nature and apparent efficiency won him many followers, but as time passed, it became clear that his leadership was ineffective. Despite his best efforts to unite the divided adepts of Lathe-Hadd, he has failed to achieve any meaningful consensus, leading to growing suspicions about his true motives. Some whisper that he serves a darker master, while others believe he is simply incompetent. As tensions rise and rebellion simmers beneath the surface, Villem finds himself at the center of a brewing storm.
