Description

Tarren Mill is a Horde-aligned town located in the northeastern Hillsbrad Foothills. Originally a human settlement in Lordaeron during the Second War, it played a key role when King Terenas ordered Alliance forces to rescue captured elven archers nearby. The elves had already reinforced the village and prepared for battle. With the enemy camp too far inland for naval support, the Alliance launched raids from Tarren Mill, eventually liberating the prisoners. Shortly after, the forces departed for Southshore. Following unknown events, the town was moved inland, northeast of Southshore. Once operated by humans, it fell to the Scourge and was later claimed by the Forsaken, led by High Executor Darthalia, who launched brutal attacks on Hillsbrad's citizens. After the Battle of Mount Hyjal, the Forsaken fully took over Tarren Mill, transforming it into a stronghold and marking it as a historic site of conflict during the Second War.
