Aerie Peak is the capital of the Wildhammer dwarves, part of the Alliance, located in the northwestern Hinterlands. Carved into a mountainside resembling a gryphon’s head, it overlooks Darrowmere Lake. Generations of Wildhammers crafted this city, complete with visible feather details and open areas for gryphons to nest. Originally from Grim Batol, the Wildhammers abandoned it after the War of the Three Hammers due to a lingering evil and established Aerie Peak above ground, unlike traditional dwarven cities. The city features a Gryphon master, a leatherworking trainer, and open-air architecture similar to Ironforge. Known for their skilled gryphon riding and hammer tossing, the Wildhammers are fierce allies of the Alliance and fiercely protect their home. High Thane Falstad Wildhammer resides near the city’s peak. Welcoming to allies and hostile to foes, Aerie Peak is a stronghold of valor and sky-bound tradition.
