Description

Blackwood Lake, nestled in the tainted wilds of the Eastern Plaguelands, is a festering reminder of what once was. A modest Argent Dawn outpost stands vigil on its shores, where a lone medic tends to weary crusaders. Long ago, the town of Blackwood thrived here—birthplace of Grand Marshal Othmar Garithos. It was once ruled by Baron Blackwood, until his house fell and leadership passed to his son, the future Grand Marshal. During the Second War, while Othmar fought valiantly in Quel’Thalas, orcs razed Blackwood, slaughtering its people. Though his family died defending their land, Othmar blamed the elves, believing they abandoned humanity's cause. The Forsaken have since reanimated Baron Blackwood to bolster their claim over the ruins. Othmar, embittered and resolute, rose through Lordaeron’s ranks, bearing the title and scars of a lost home.
