Description

Tyr's Hand is a heavily fortified city in the Eastern Plaguelands, southeast of Light's Hope Chapel. Once a thriving coastal hub loyal to Lordaeron’s crown, it was founded by early human pilgrims and named for a legendary hero. Despite wars and destruction—most notably during the Second War when Alterac spies incited revolt and Horde forces razed its port—the city was rebuilt. During the Third War, the Scourge failed to breach its walls. The city’s defenders later pledged loyalty to the Scarlet Crusade. Now home to over 9,000, Tyr’s Hand remains the Crusade’s military and religious stronghold, housing the imposing Scarlet Basilica and a newly established Scarlet Monastery. Surrounded by plague and ruin, it is a rare sanctuary of order, light, and greenery. Known as a city of churches, its architecture echoes holy sites like Northshire Abbey and the Cathedral of Light—symbols of a faith unyielding in a land of decay.
