Rexxar is a towering figure, his appearance marked by his mixed heritage of orc and ogre. His body is muscular and imposing, with thick, leathery green skin, characteristic of his orcish lineage. His face is rugged, with sharp tusks protruding from a strong jaw and deep-set, amber eyes that reflect his fierce determination. His hair is dark and wild, often tied back, while his brow is furrowed in a permanent expression of seriousness. Over his broad shoulders, he wears minimal armor—mostly fur and leather—practical for his life as a beastmaster. A massive, double-headed axe is often slung across his back, a weapon befitting his strength and fighting prowess. His constant companion is Misha, a large bear, which he shares a bond with, symbolizing his connection to nature and the wild. Rexxar’s appearance is both intimidating and commanding, reflecting his fierce independence and warrior spirit.

Rexxar is a complex and honorable character. Known as a half-orc, half-ogre Beastmaster, he is deeply connected to the wilderness and its creatures. Rexxar’s personality is defined by his quiet strength, loyalty, and sense of duty. Despite his half-orc heritage, which often leads to prejudice, he is not driven by hatred but by a desire to protect those he cares about, especially the land and its animals. Rexxar’s bond with nature allows him to command and empathize with beasts, seeing them as companions rather than tools. He values independence and self-reliance but has a strong sense of honor and is willing to fight for the greater good. While initially a solitary figure, Rexxar is a respected leader among the Horde and has been a key figure in many battles, such as the wars against the Burning Legion. His gruff exterior hides a noble heart, making him both a fierce warrior and a guardian of the wilds.

Rexxar, born of a union between an ogre and an orc, was a member of the Mok'nathal tribe on Draenor, led by his father, Leoroxx. The Mok'nathal were pacifists, isolated and self-reliant, but Rexxar believed that the Horde could help them find food and water. After Blackhand's Horde spared his people, Rexxar left Draenor during the First War, bringing with him his loyal wolf companion, Haratha. Sickened by the Horde's brutality and betrayal, Rexxar's resolve weakened further when Haratha died protecting him from an orcish warlock. He left the Horde and wandered the wilderness, taking in a cub, Misha, after finding it orphaned in Feralas. Rexxar’s path led him to Orgrimmar, where he helped Thrall and his allies. He aided the trolls, tauren, and ogres, even claiming leadership of the Stonemaul clan by defeating Warlord Kor'gall in combat. After the death of Admiral Proudmoore, Rexxar chose to stay in the wild, though he remained loyal to the Horde and offered his assistance when needed.
