Description

Shadowfang Keep looms above Pyrewood Village, nestled in southern Silverpine Forest near Gilneas. Once ruled by Baron Silverlaine, the keep fell when the mad Archmage Arugal summoned the savage worgen to aid Dalaran during the Third War. The wolf-men turned on friend and foe alike, seizing the keep and slaughtering its defenders. Arugal, consumed by guilt and madness, embraced the worgen as his "children" and claimed the fortress, now known as Shadowfang Keep. After Arugal’s fall to Horde adventurers, the ruined stronghold was overrun by Scourge remnants and the treacherous Lord Godfrey, a disgraced Gilnean noble revived by the Forsaken. Today, the keep remains a cursed place, haunted by the spirit of Baron Silverlaine and guarded by Arugal’s monstrous pet, Fenrus. Shadows of betrayal and dark magic linger in its halls, as Lord Godfrey and his allies plot vengeance against both the living and the undead.
