Description

Mardenholde Keep stands as the heart of Hearthglen in the Western Plaguelands. Once the seat of Lord Tirion Fordring, it now serves as the command post of Highlord Taelan Fordring and the Scarlet Crusade. Within its stone halls, the fate of Hearthglen—and once much of the region—was long decided. The keep housed Tirion’s war councils, guarded by Captain Arden, and held maps detailing the land with precision. A bastion of trade for the Alliance, Mardenholde never fell, even during the orc invasions. Before the Third War, it teemed with envoys and diplomats, as tensions stirred anew. After Tirion's exile for aiding the orc Eitrigg, Barthilas succeeded him before departing to Stratholme. In the war’s aftermath, the Silver Hand gathered here, but internal betrayal shattered unity. Fairbanks exposed corruption; Maxwell Tyrosus departed to found the Argent Dawn. Those who remained became the Scarlet Crusade—now entrenched in Mardenholde’s once-hallowed halls.
