Description

The Gurubashi Arena, located in Stranglethorn Vale near Booty Bay, is a remnant of the once-powerful Gurubashi Empire. It serves as a battleground for those seeking fame, treasure, and competition. Historically, brutal fights to the death stained its sands with troll blood. Now overseen by Short John Mithril, matches are less deadly. He is a goblin pirate captain and arena master who initiates chest battles at the Gurubashi Arena every three hours. Legends speak of a blood-red amulet that, if found at midnight, summons a soul-devouring demon by dawn. Once each generation, elite trolls from across Azeroth gather here for a sacred combat rite under the eye of Zandalari king Rastakhan. They fight for the honor of the loa, and victory in the arena is among the highest achievements a troll can attain.
