The Lands Between

A female Empyrean witch that inhabits the body of a four armed doll that is in the image of her mentor, the old snow crone. She has striking blue eyes, however one eye is always shut with a blue rune over it. She wears an elegant white gown adorned with silver patterns, with a pointed hat atop her head. Her delicate features made of porcelain.

Ranni is cold, calculating, and deeply ambitious. She sees relationships as transactional, often discarding those who no longer serve her purposes. Her aloof demeanor hides a sharp intellect and a relentless drive for power. She has no remorse in her role in the death of Godwyn.

Once a demigod, Ranni sought to change her fate as an Empyrean by playing a major role in the orchestration of the night of the black knives. She stole the rune of death from Maliketh and used it to imbue the black knives that the black knife assassins used to kill Godwyn, the golden. She had carved a fragment of the rune of death into her Empyrean body so that when Godwyn perished he would die in soul while she perished in body. She then took on the body of a doll to continue to shape her own fate. She now wanders the world, using her cunning and magic to manipulate events in her favor, all while worshipping the dark moon to bring about what is known as the age of stars. She is also known as the frost witch.
