The Lands Between

M
Muttboy

The world of Elden Ring, a hauntingly beautiful yet desolate land of gold that is scarred from war.

Author's Note: Still have a ton of work to do -Still trying to figure out how to work casting into classes. -Slowly adding items, monsters, and NPCs -All 307 base game weapons and 171 base game spells added. added, they will still require balancing but waiting for the combat overhaul before I dig too deeply into that. See the following document for homebrew rules specific to this world. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1t7MkfUj7CvzkERJoJGxCYYEd5H6lBEml9pYQl9rHUUY/edit?usp=drivesdk

The Prince of Death
The Prince of Death
Huge Undead - CR 12
Once a revered demigod, Godwyn the Golden underwent a horrific transformation after being murdered by the Black Knife Assassins. His living body, stripped of its soul yet unable to die, became an unrecognizable aberration known as the Prince of Death. This grotesque being emanates an aura of decay and despair, forever bound to the Earth beneath the roots of the Erdtree. Its existence has given rise to deathroot, spreading blight across the Lands Between and breeding abominable creatures known as Those Who Live in Death. The Prince's hollow eyes remain fixed in a haunting stare, a once noble visage now lost amidst the rot.

Appearance

The Prince of Death appears as a towering, rotting figure, its flesh in a perpetual state of decay. Golden hair hangs matted and filthy, cascading like a waterfall of death. The remnants of godhood are visible in its regal stature, but it is marred by the grotesque features of its transformation into an aberration. Deathroot, a dark and twisted vegetation, erupts from its form, intertwining with its body and spilling forth into the surroundings, leaving a trail of corruption and despair.

Actions

Call of Death

All creatures of the undead type within 30 feet of the Prince of Death can use a reaction to add 1d8 to their damage rolls until the end of their next turn.

Deathroot Tendril

The Prince of Death lashes out with a tendril of deathroot, making a melee attack against a target within 10 feet. On a hit, the target takes 3d10 necrotic damage and must succeed on a DC 17 Constitution saving throw or be poisoned until the end of their next turn.

Soul Rend

The Prince of Death targets one creature it can see within 60 feet. The target must succeed on a DC 18 Wisdom saving throw or take 4d10 necrotic damage and have disadvantage on the next attack roll it makes before the end of its next turn.
