Though the nature of their experiments is unknown, their lingering influence has permanently altered the land, causing crops to flourish at unnatural rates and enhancing the vitality of the soil. However, the magic has also left its mark on the villagers—every person born in Glimmerbrook displays strikingly unnatural hues in their hair, eyes, or even skin, with colors spanning the full spectrum of the rainbow. The village thrives on community and cooperation, its people known for their hospitality and joyful spirit. Most residents are halflings, though a mix of elves, gnomes, humans, and others have come to call Glimmerbrook home, drawn by its enchantment and promise of fruitful life.

Lelone

Nestled high within the towering treetops of the Mist Woods, Lelone is a city of unparalleled beauty and mystique. Concealed by powerful enchantments, it remains unseen by outsiders, revealing itself only to those the elves deem worthy. The elves of Lelone are masters of magic and archery, their skills honed over centuries of isolation and devotion to their sacred homeland. Druids of Lelone nurture the forest with ancient rituals, ensuring the Mist Woods flourish with vitality. Meanwhile, rangers patrol the forest floor and canopy, their keen eyes and unmatched precision safeguarding their realm from intruders and threats. Despite its serenity, Lelone is a place of quiet vigilance. Though its people value harmony, they stand ready to defend the Mist Woods from any force that would upset its delicate balance, their bows and magic as formidable as their wisdom is deep.

Levithal

Levithal

Levithal is a marvel of shared arcane ingenuity, a floating city born from the harmonious collaboration of wizards and sorcerers. The wizards crafted the intricate enchantments and structures that sustain it, while the sorcerers infused these works with raw, unfathomable power, anchoring the island high above the ocean near Velarion’s coast. The entire city is a testament to this union: crystalline spires shaped by wizardly precision radiate with an aura of sorcerous energy, while the island itself pulses with the life of the combined magic that sustains it. Travelers can ascend via enchanted airships which dock at specialized platforms along Velarion’s coast. For the magically adept, teleportation circles provide instantaneous passage, though they are tightly controlled and require official authorization. A series of arcane gates, activated by ancient runes, also link Levithal to key points across Velarion, allowing limited but efficient travel.

Mist Woods

Mist Woods

The Mist Woods is an enchanted forest shrouded in perpetual mist, where the trees seem to whisper ancient secrets. The air is alive with the sounds of unseen creatures, and pathways twist and turn unexpectedly, leading travelers deeper into its mysterious embrace. Glimmers of ethereal light can be seen dancing between the trunks.

Mistmeadow is a quaint and cozy village nestled at the edge of the Mist Woods. The village is home to a few hundred villagers, predominantly human with a sprinkle of other races. This simple settlement features a central square where villagers gather, a small shop offering daily necessities, and a welcoming tavern and inn that echo with laughter and music.

The Sanctuary of the Radiant Conflux serves as both a temple and a scholarly hub dedicated to Aurelina. Situated near the Arcane Spire, the temple is a beacon of arcane energy, designed to embody unity, balance, and discovery. Its harmonious architecture integrates aesthetics with magical practicality, offering a serene yet vibrant environment for worship and study. The Sanctuary is a towering structure crafted from polished, shimmering marble inlaid with veins of glowing sapphire. Its design features multiple elegant spires spiraling upward, converging at a radiant crystal starburst that floats above the central dome, pulsing softly with magical light. The temple’s entrance is an intricately carved archway adorned with symbols of Aurelina, flanked by fountains that cascade with enchanted, ever-shifting hues of water. The grounds are surrounded by a low wall, etched with protective runes that deter harm and interference, inviting only peaceful visitors.

The Arcane Spire of Levithal

The Arcane Spire of Levithal

The Arcane Spire stands as a towering symbol of power and unity in the heart of Levithal. Reaching high into the skies above the city, the spire serves as both the residence and seat of government for Velarion’s ruling wizards and sorcerers. At the very top of the spire is the Council Hall, an open space where the Circle of Arcanists and the Crimson Veil meet to discuss and make decisions regarding the governance of Velarion. The hall is neutral ground, with both sides of the tower converging here to ensure the smooth operation of the kingdom. Below this council chamber, the floors of the spire house the private residences, offices, and chambers of the high-ranking wizards and sorcerers who oversee various aspects of the kingdom's magical and governmental functions.

The Starlit District

The Starlit District stands as the pinnacle of wealth and influence in Levithal, home to the city’s most powerful nobles, high-ranking mages, and magical aristocracy. Perched on gently terraced hills near the Arcane Spire, it offers both a commanding view of the city below and immediate access to its political and arcane heart. Beyond its pristine beauty, the district serves as a quiet theater for subtle games of influence, alliances, and ambition. While outwardly tranquil and refined, every conversation and gesture may carry layers of unspoken meaning, making the district a social chessboard for the elite. Private events, arcane galas, and secret gatherings are common behind closed doors. While it is a place of comfort and serenity, the district also serves as a crucible where decisions shaping Levithal’s future are quietly made.

Velarion

Velarion is a land shaped by the union of wizards and sorcerers, their combined mastery forging a kingdom where magic is not only a tool but the very foundation of society. While wizards bring structure, discipline, and knowledge, sorcerers contribute raw, untamed power and innate talent, blending the two schools of magic into something greater. This symbiosis has allowed Velarion to flourish as a beacon of arcane might, its lands thriving under magical innovations that blur the line between the natural and the supernatural. Enchanted farmlands yield harvests regardless of season, rivers flow where none should, and the very air hums with latent energy. The kingdom’s leadership is divided between the Circle of Arcanists, representing the scholarly wizards, and the Crimson Veil, a council of gifted sorcerers. Together, they guide Velarion’s destiny, balancing intellect with instinct and ensuring their realm remains a sanctuary for magical excellence.
