Description

Perched high in the Jerall Mountains near Bruma, Cloud Ruler Temple stands as one of the most iconic remnants of Akaviri architecture in Tamriel. Built by Reman Cyrodiil’s Akaviri Dragonguard during the Second Empire, the temple served as the headquarters for the Blades, the Emperor’s elite protectors. Throughout the Second and Third Eras, it remained a symbol of loyalty and strength. Cloud Ruler Temple played a pivotal role during the Oblivion Crisis, when Martin Septim and the Hero of Kvatch sought refuge within its ancient walls. Despite withstanding countless threats, the temple was nearly lost during Molag Bal’s Planemeld in 2E 582 and later besieged by the Thalmor during the Great War of the Fourth Era, leaving much of its archives destroyed.
