Description

Karthwasten is a small mining village located in the rugged region of the Reach, along the Karth River in western Skyrim. Known primarily for its rich silver mines, Karthwasten has long been a contested site due to its valuable resources. Over the centuries, the village has endured numerous disputes between wealthy mine owners, the Reachmen, and local laborers who have fought for control and fair treatment. Despite its turbulent history, the villagers of Karthwasten are resilient, surviving the harsh conditions of the Reach and the constant political and economic struggles. The village’s strategic position along the river and near key trade routes has also made it a vital, if often overlooked, settlement in the region.
