Gnisis, also spelled G’nisis, is a small village nestled in the northwest sea bluffs of Vvardenfell, built along the River Samsi in the northern edge of the West Gash region. Governed by House Redoran, Gnisis is renowned for its kwama egg mining, cave dwellings, and distinctive Redoran-style architecture. The village is centered around the local Tribunal Temple and the Shrine of Justice, one of the sacred Seven Graces revered by pilgrims across Morrowind. Gnisis holds significant historical importance as the site where the Warrior-Poet Vivec heroically saved his followers from being buried in ash. Overlooking the village is the ancient Velothi tower of Arvs-Drelen, perched dramatically on a cliffside above the western gate, serving as a beacon for travelers.
