Description

In the southeast of Betnikh, the Carved Hills roll gently beneath scattered trees and craggy stone outcrops. The land here is quiet, windswept, and largely untouched—its rocky slopes etched with ancient symbols and shallow carvings whose meanings have long been lost to time. Orcish legend holds that these hills were once used for rites of passage, where warriors would test their strength and endurance against the elements. Though sparsely wooded, the terrain hides narrow trails, sudden drops, and the occasional ruined totem or weathered standing stone. Wildlife is common—stags, cliffstriders, and scavenging wolves—but travelers speak of stranger things: distant drums in the mist, or voices whispering from the rocks themselves. Whether a sacred site or simply a forgotten corner of the island, the Carved Hills remain a place of mystery—shaped by wind, story, and stone.
