Description

Tucked beside the steaming riverbanks of Eastmarch, Darkwater Crossing is a humble mining settlement nestled near the foot of the Velothi Mountains, southeast of Windhelm. Built around a hot spring-fed river that cuts through the volcanic tundra, the village is home to a small group of miners who work the nearby Goldenrock Mine in search of corundum ore. Led by Annekke Crag-Jumper and her husband Verner Rock-Chucker, the settlement is modest—just a few tents and a campfire—but the sense of community runs deep. Life here is harsh, but the locals are resilient, relying on the river for warmth and survival in a land shaped by fire and frost. Darkwater Crossing is more than a waypoint—it's a testament to quiet perseverance, where steam rises through snow and the echoes of pickaxes mark the heartbeat of a village carved from Skyrim’s most rugged terrain.
