Gerta is a sturdy and strong Nord woman, with broad shoulders and calloused hands from years of hard, manual labor. Her long blonde hair is usually tied back in a practical braid, and her piercing blue eyes are always focused on the task at hand. She dresses in simple, functional clothes, often covered in the scent of soap and freshly cleaned linens.

Gerta is pragmatic, hardworking, and proud of her ability to keep the castle’s linens spotless and in perfect condition. She is no stranger to hard work and doesn’t tolerate laziness, expecting the same level of dedication from her staff as she shows herself. Though she can come across as tough or strict, Gerta is deeply caring, particularly toward her younger staff, whom she mentors with a firm but fair hand. She takes pride in maintaining the high standards of Castle Valga and is often regarded as the quiet backbone of the castle’s domestic staff.

Gerta grew up in the rugged mountains of Skyrim, where she learned the value of hard work from a young age. After moving to Cyrodiil in search of more stable work, she found employment at Castle Valga and quickly rose through the ranks to become the Laundry Mistress. Over the years, Gerta has earned the respect of her peers through her tireless dedication and attention to detail. She has a deep bond with her nephew, Durian Feldspar, the castle’s blacksmith apprentice, and takes pride in seeing him follow a skilled trade.
