The Elder Scrolls: Tamriel

Arnald is a large, heavily built Nord with a thick gray beard and a heavily scarred face, including an eyepatch over his left eye from a past battle. Standing at 6'3", he carries the weight of decades of battle, his body still powerful but showing the signs of his age in the stiffness of his movements. His remaining eye is a cold blue, often narrowed in thought or calculation. Arnald dresses in well-worn, practical armor and is rarely seen without his favored battle axe strapped to his back.

Gruff and straightforward, Arnald is a man of few words, preferring action over conversation. His years of fighting have left him hardened, but beneath the grizzled exterior, he is fiercely loyal to his comrades and deeply committed to Hawkwood Company. Though he rarely shows it, Arnald cares for the younger recruits, often providing quiet guidance through his actions rather than advice. He’s seen and survived enough battles to know that preparation and discipline win wars, and he instills that same mentality in those who serve under him.

Arnald fought in many skirmishes and wars across Tamriel, first as a soldier in various armies and later as a wandering mercenary. He earned the name “Stonefist” not only for his strength but for his unwavering determination in battle, even when facing impossible odds. After years of wandering and fighting, he eventually crossed paths with Velerius Hawkwood, and the two formed a strong bond based on mutual respect. Arnald joined Hawkwood Company early on and has been Velerius’s right-hand man ever since, serving as a field commander and trusted lieutenant. Though age has slowed him down, his experience and battle-hardened instincts make him a formidable warrior and leader.
