backstory
Saerlund is the younger son of Jarl Laila Law-Giver and brother to Harrald, residing in Mistveil Keep in Riften. He openly opposes the Stormcloaks, criticizing Ulfric Stormcloak as power-hungry and self-serving. This dissent has led to his ostracization; his mother has stripped him of his inheritance and confined him within the keep, treating him as a traitor. Despite his isolation, he remains steadfast in his beliefs, warning others of the dangers of blind allegiance, while reflecting on the personal toll of political conflict.
