backstory
Durak is an Orsimer ranger and a dedicated vampire hunter. He joined the Dawnguard to avenge the deaths of his two wives, who were killed by vampires. He is the first to approach the Dragonborn about the vampire menace, recruiting them into the Dawnguard. If spoken to in Dayspring Canyon, he provides the Dragonborn with a crossbow and steel bolts, emphasizing its effectiveness against vampires.
