appearance
A weathered Nord with a sturdy build, his frame bearing the marks of a life spent braving the seas. His once-vibrant hair has faded to a silvery hue, and his piercing blue eyes reflect both the wisdom of experience and the sorrow of loss. Clad in fine clothes and boots, he carries a steel sword at his side—a relic from his days as a sea captain. His posture remains upright, movements deliberate, embodying the discipline of a seasoned sailor.
personality
Lonely-Gale is a contemplative and melancholic figure, his demeanor shaped by the weight of his past. He often reminisces about his seafaring days, stating, "I made my fortune as a sea captain, but now I'm retired." His interactions are marked by a blend of wisdom and sorrow, and he is known to be a source of information about Windhelm's notable citizens and events. Despite his reserved nature, he is courteous to those who engage him in conversation. However, he is also the subject of unreciprocated affection from Viola Giordano, whose persistent advances he gently rebuffs, indicating his enduring mourning for his late wife.
backstory
Once a renowned sea captain, Lonely-Gale amassed his fortune through years of maritime trade and exploration. After retiring, he settled in Windhelm, where the townsfolk continued to address him by his former title out of respect. Tragedy struck when he lost his family, leaving him a widower—a loss that has deeply affected him. Despite his grief, he remains a familiar face in the city, often found at Candlehearth Hall or strolling through the market. Notably, he was intended to serve as Jarl Brunwulf Free-Winter's steward after the Imperial takeover of Windhelm, but due to a bug, this role was never implemented in the game.
