appearance
A burly Nord with a weathered face and a scowl that rarely fades. He wears a simple belted tunic, boots, and a hat, reflecting his disdain for pretense. An iron dagger rests at his side, more a symbol of his aggression than a tool of defense. His posture is upright, movements deliberate, embodying the belligerence he directs toward those he deems outsiders.
personality
Rolff is belligerent, xenophobic, and unrepentant in his views. He believes Windhelm belongs solely to the Nords and views non-Nords as parasites. His confrontational nature is evident in his interactions, often resorting to threats and violence to assert his beliefs. He is quick to challenge those who disagree with him, using brawls as a means to intimidate and silence opposition. Despite his aggressive demeanor, defeating him in a brawl can surprisingly raise his disposition toward the player, even if they are a Dark Elf or have sided with the Imperial Legion. This change in attitude, however, does little to alter his deeply ingrained prejudices.
backstory
A lifelong resident of Windhelm, Rolff is known for his vehement hatred toward Dark Elves and Argonians. He spends his days in Candlehearth Hall, drinking and stewing in his prejudices. At night, he roams the Gray Quarter, hurling insults and threats at its Dunmer inhabitants, accusing them of being Imperial spies or Thalmor sympathizers. His aggression is not limited to words; he challenges those who confront him to brawls, asserting dominance through violence. Despite his hostility, he is considered essential and cannot be killed, a status that allows him to continue his harassment unchecked. Interestingly, game data suggests he is the brother of Galmar Stone-Fist, Ulfric Stormcloak's second-in-command, though this relationship is never acknowledged in-game.
