He is critical of the city's leadership, noting that Ulfric Stormcloak tolerates the Dunmer but does little to improve their conditions. backstory
Malthyr serves as a pawnbroker and assistant at the New Gnisis Cornerclub in Windhelm's Gray Quarter, working under Ambarys Rendar. He leads a modest life, sleeping on the top floor of the cornerclub and spending his days tending to the establishment. Despite his aspirations, a known bug prevents him from officially taking over the bar if Ambarys is absent. Malthyr is deeply aware of the systemic discrimination faced by the Dunmer in Windhelm, often expressing his discontent with their living conditions. He has ties to the community and is reluctant to leave, stating that it's more trouble to pack up and leave than it is to stay, and besides, Ambarys can't run the cornerclub on his own.
