appearance
A young Imperial man with a youthful and earnest demeanor, wearing merchant clothes, a hat, and boots suitable for an alchemist's assistant. An iron dagger rests at his side, more a tool than a weapon. He has an upright posture and deliberate movements, embodying the discipline and resilience forged through years of dedicated apprenticeship.
personality
Quintus is diligent, respectful, and deeply committed to his work. He often downplays his own abilities, remarking, "I'll never have Master Nurelion's skill with potions," yet he is knowledgeable in both potion-making and enchanting. His interactions reveal a man who, despite enduring his master's temper, remains dedicated to the craft and the preservation of his mentor's life's work.
backstory
Quintus serves as the assistant to Nurelion, the aging proprietor of The White Phial. He relocated from Cyrodiil to Windhelm specifically to study under Nurelion, whose reputation as a master alchemist drew Quintus's admiration. Despite Nurelion's irascible nature, Quintus values the opportunity to learn from him, stating, "Are you kidding? I came all the way from Cyrodiil just to work with him. He's... he's not the best teacher. But just watching him, I've learned so much." In the quest "The White Phial," Quintus assists in the retrieval of the legendary artifact his master has long sought. When the phial is found to be cracked, Quintus expresses concern for Nurelion's disappointment. Later, in "Repairing the Phial," Quintus seeks assistance to gather rare materials to restore the artifact, demonstrating his commitment to preserving Nurelion's legacy.
