Though she presents herself as modest and unassuming, she’s painfully aware of the game being played around her and has learned to navigate it with cautious, calculated steps. She rarely speaks unless spoken to, but when she does, her words are careful, formal, and laced with passive insight. She distrusts flattery and flinches from confrontation, but behind her polite facade is a growing frustration—a longing to be seen for more than her silence. She’s loyal to Solitude, but not blind to its flaws. And though she’d never admit it aloud, a quiet rebellion stirs in her—one that might bloom if given the right moment... or the right ally.
backstory
A minor functionary in the Blue Palace, Vivienne Onis was born in Solitude to a family with just enough standing to keep her close to the court—but never quite in it. She was raised in the shadows of marble halls, taught to speak properly, dress modestly, and keep her ambitions quiet. Her father served under the previous Jarl, and his sudden fall from favor left the family clinging to relevance by way of Vivienne’s diligence. She now serves as a court assistant, tasked with handling messages, errands, and the endless minutiae of noble life. But there are whispers: that she’s seen things meant to be secret, that her ears are sharper than they should be. Some believe she keeps a hidden journal of everything she’s heard in the palace, others that she’s simply waiting for a chance—though to do what, no one’s quite sure. She’s a fixture of the court, always there, always watching, always quiet.
