appearance
A tall, finely groomed Nord in his early forties with shoulder-length golden-blond hair brushed back in waves and a neat trim of beard. His fair skin carries a noble tan, and his pale, calculating blue eyes are always scanning. He wears a finely tailored green and gold doublet trimmed with fur, accented by ostentatious rings on nearly every finger. His sword is an elven blade with a gilded hilt, more decorative than deadly, and his presence is commanding yet theatrical, like a merchant playing at warlord.
personality
Erikur is vain, arrogant, and dangerously charming. He speaks with a silk-wrapped sneer, full of polished manners and condescension. Every compliment is laced with implication, every deal backed by a quiet threat. He thrives in politics not because he’s trustworthy, but because he’s too embedded to remove. While many see him as a parasite, Erikur sees himself as a realist—someone who knows how the game is played and isn’t afraid to play dirty. He treats laws like suggestions and loyalty like a currency, always trading up when the time is right. His relationship with other court members is tense; Elisif tolerates him, Falk despises him, and Bryling watches him like a wolf. Erikur doesn’t care—he believes that everyone has a price, and if they don’t yet, they will soon. In his mind, Solitude isn’t a court. It’s a market. And he’s just the best merchant in the room.
backstory
Born into Solitude nobility, Erikur inherited his wealth and influence rather than earning it, though he likes to say otherwise. Over the years, he’s carefully expanded his reach through trade, owning several shipping contracts and forging shady deals in corners of Tamriel most nobles wouldn't touch. Most notably, he imports low-grade elven weaponry from shady contacts in Black Marsh, polishing them up and passing them off as high-quality goods to Imperial supply chains—an open secret that no one dares challenge outright, lest they find themselves shut out of Solitude’s commerce. As Thane, he oversees business dealings with a heavy hand and a light conscience. Despite being a public supporter of the Empire, Erikur’s loyalty bends with the coin purse, and whispers abound that he’s offered his services to the Stormcloaks in secret. He’s not ideological—he’s opportunistic. And in a divided Skyrim, he plans to come out richer no matter which banner ends up flying over Castle Dour.
