appearance
A rugged Nord woman in her late thirties with light blond hair cropped just below the chin, cool gray eyes, and a piercing gaze. She wears well-fitted, scuffed leather armor and a green wool cloak, with a hunting knife tucked into her boot and a bow slung across her back. Her fingerless gloves are worn from long hours of use, and her stance is vigilant, reflecting her years spent in the wild.
personality
Gisli is blunt, sardonic, and constantly annoyed—with the world, with Solitude, and especially with Erikur. She speaks her mind with the kind of fearless honesty only those with nothing left to lose can afford, often laced with biting sarcasm and a wry smirk. She has little patience for politics or pomp and openly mocks the court's hypocrisy whenever possible. Beneath the cynicism, however, is a woman who still cares deeply—about Skyrim, about justice, and about people not being trampled by the powerful. She’s sharp-eyed, fiercely independent, and far more capable than she lets on, often playing the role of bitter outcast to keep people at a distance. Still, those who earn her respect will find a fiercely loyal companion with a dry wit and a deadly shot. Just don’t bring up her brother—unless you’re ready for a very long, very loud opinion.
backstory
Once a respected ranger who patrolled the mountain passes between Haafingar and the Reach, Gisli turned her back on that life after an ambush left her badly wounded and bitter with regret. She returned to Solitude, partly to recover and partly out of obligation—Erikur, her estranged older brother, insisted she 'rest and enjoy the city,' though she suspects he really just wanted to keep her from embarrassing him. The two couldn’t be more different: Erikur thrives on wealth and manipulation, while Gisli values honesty, hard work, and being left alone. Now living modestly in the city, she spends her days pacing the walls, sharpening her arrows, and grumbling to anyone who’ll listen about her brother’s antics. Though she plays the role of a jaded bystander, some believe she’s still nursing old wounds from more than just the battlefield—losses she doesn't speak of, and a purpose she’s yet to reclaim.
