Her sandy-blonde hair is usually pulled into two messy braids, tied with mismatched ribbons, one of which is always coming loose. She has rosy cheeks and a nose perpetually smudged with soot, flour, or ink. Minette wears a hand-stitched dress in faded green with a few haphazard patches, and soft leather slippers that have clearly seen better days. Often seen hugging a weathered songbook or humming under her breath, she carries herself with a lively, almost defiant bounce.

Minette is precocious, bold, and full of mischief. She speaks with quick wit and unfiltered honesty, often embarrassing adults by saying exactly what others were too polite to. She has a deep admiration for bards and performers, and though she can be fiercely competitive about attention, she also delights in uplifting others when she feels they’ve earned it. She's naturally empathetic but hides it under a layer of snark and bravado. She teases her brother mercilessly and argues with her father in dramatic flourishes, but beneath it all, her loyalty to family runs deep. Minette is the kind of child who will one day grow into someone unforgettable—whether a bard, a performer, or something more ambitious still. For now, she’s content to sing half-finished songs to anyone who will listen and remind every patron at the Skeever that even the smallest voice in the room can demand the most attention.
backstory
Born and raised within the walls of The Winking Skeever, Minette knows the rhythm of the tavern like a second heartbeat. While her father, Corpulus, manages the inn and her older brother Sorex tends to the more grown-up duties, Minette has carved out her own role as the inn’s unofficial apprentice bard, self-declared hostess, and occasional eavesdropper. Fascinated by music from a young age, she often lingers near Lisette’s performances, mimicking her voice or scribbling down lyrics of her own. She dreams of attending the Bards College someday, though she’s too proud to ask for help and insists she’ll earn her place with talent alone. Despite the bustle of the Skeever and the expectations placed on her family, Minette finds joy in the noise, the stories, and the constant presence of strangers with tales to tell.
