appearance
A rugged Breton man in his late thirties, Enmon has a solid and wiry frame built for endurance. His tanned, rough skin is weathered with deep lines at the eyes and mouth, and his short, dark brown hair clings close to his scalp. A perpetual five-o'clock shadow frames his tight-set jaw, and his hazel eyes are alert and cautious. He dresses in faded miner’s leathers and patched wool, with sleeves rolled back to the elbow, and scuffed, dust-covered boots. A worn pendant of Stendarr hangs around his neck.
personality
Enmon is quiet, cautious, and deeply grounded. He speaks plainly and rarely, with a tone that suggests weariness more than wisdom. While not openly confrontational, he is unshakably stubborn when it comes to protecting his wife, his home, or his fellow miners. He’s seen enough betrayal and empty promises to trust few people—especially those with coin or titles. Still, he’s not bitter, just wary; slow to open up, but fiercely loyal once he does. He holds no delusions about the world, but clings tightly to the belief that decency is worth fighting for, even if the fight is a quiet, grinding one. While he may not carry a sword, Enmon is as immovable as the stone he mines—a man shaped by pressure, but not broken by it.
backstory
Enmon was born in Markarth but moved to Karthwasten seeking honest work and a quiet life. He married Mena, a fellow Breton who grew up in the Reach, and together they’ve tried to carve out a modest existence in the shadow of stone and silver. Enmon works in the Sanuarach Mine, long at the center of disputes between the workers and the Silver-Blood family, who claim ownership of the land and treat the miners little better than indentured laborers. He’s not a revolutionary, but the injustices he’s seen have slowly eroded his patience. When their daughter fell ill, Enmon petitioned for aid—none came. When Nords from the Reach tried to push them out, he stood his ground. Now, he does what he must: works, watches, and waits. He’s no hero, but he’s not a man who bends easily either.
