She mistrusts the Silver-Bloods and the holds’ politics but rarely speaks on it unless pressed. Her faith is personal, private, and woven into her daily acts of care. Mena may not wield a weapon or cast a spell, but her strength is no less profound—an anchor for her husband, a quiet comfort to her neighbors, and a reminder that even in places like Karthwasten, grace and grit can still grow.
backstory
Born and raised in a small Breton farming village that was later abandoned during a land dispute, Mena knows the weight of loss and the bitterness of starting over. She met Enmon while seeking work near Markarth and the two bonded quickly over shared struggles and a stubborn refusal to give up on life’s small comforts. They settled in Karthwasten to escape the worst of the Reach’s violence, hoping the mines would offer stability—if not prosperity. While Enmon works the mine, Mena keeps their modest home in order, tends a tiny garden patch, and does her best to support the other miners’ families with what little she has. Her life is built on routine, on quiet acts of love and necessity, but beneath her calm exterior lies a fierce, protective heart—especially for her husband, who she worries may one day be broken by the very stone he's sworn to outlast.
