A tall, striking Nord woman in her late thirties with strong, broad shoulders and a proud bearing. She has long, wheat-blonde hair usually pulled back into a thick braid, with a few rebellious strands framing her angular face. Her sun-kissed, freckled skin and sea-green eyes carry both fire and fatigue. She dresses in a rough-spun blouse and a thick leather vest, cinched at the waist, with trousers suited for hard labor and heavy boots. Though often smeared with sawdust and sap, she exudes confidence, strength, and presence.

Olda is sharp-tongued, fiercely independent, and not easily intimidated. She speaks bluntly, often with a smirk or an unspoken dare, and doesn't bother with courtesies unless there's something in it for her. She's ambitious in a quiet, slow-burning way—never reckless, but always calculating, always watching for an opening to seize control of her own future. While some see her as cruel or manipulative, others see a woman worn down by disappointment and unwilling to go down with a sinking ship. She’s not without heart, but it’s buried beneath layers of hurt, pride, and frustration. She loves hard, fights harder, and has no patience for weakness—especially when it lives under her roof. Olda may still wear the title of “wife,” but in her eyes, the mill, the house, and her future are already hers. She’s just waiting for the rest of Dragon Bridge to catch up.
backstory
Olda married Horgeir during what she now refers to as “better times”—back when the mill was profitable, the debts were manageable, and her husband still rose before the sun instead of falling asleep in front of a half-empty tankard. Originally from a northern farming hold, Olda came to Dragon Bridge as a young woman with a reputation for working harder than the men around her. She helped build the mill’s success, working side by side with Horgeir until the stress—and his growing reliance on drink—drove a wedge between them. Over time, the love faded into bitterness, and her loyalty into simmering resentment. There are whispers in town of her spending too much time near Lodvar, her brother-in-law, though no one says it to her face—not unless they want a bruised one. Whether she’s seeking escape, power, or simply attention, Olda is clearly done waiting for her husband to get his act together.
