appearance
A tall, broad-shouldered Redguard in his early thirties with sun-darkened skin, short hair, and a faint beard. He wears a plain linen shirt, a faded green tunic, and sturdy leather boots. A hand-crafted talisman of Yoku design hangs around his neck, and his dark brown eyes are calm but cautious, often set beneath a furrowed brow.
personality
Ennis is reserved, dutiful, and quietly thoughtful. He speaks little, but when he does, his words carry weight—grounded in observation and patience rather than impulse. He holds a deep respect for Reldith, seeing her not just as a guardian, but as a moral compass and lifelong friend. Though calm on the surface, Ennis harbors a quiet fire when it comes to loyalty and justice—he will not stand idly by if those he cares for are threatened. He has a gentle way with animals and a steady hand with crops, and while he avoids the village gossip, he is always watching, always listening. Some in Rorikstead think him strange, too quiet, or too intense—but those who’ve worked beside him know Ennis to be a man of quiet honor, shaped not by the blood in his veins, but by the hands that raised him and the soil he calls home.
backstory
Orphaned at a young age during a bandit raid on a northern trade caravan, Ennis was found half-starved and alone by Reldith, an Altmer herbalist and farmer who lived on the outskirts of Rorikstead. Rather than leave him to fate, she brought him into her home, raised him as her own, and taught him the rhythms of rural life—how to listen to the soil, how to respect the land, and how to carry himself with quiet dignity. Over time, Ennis became not only a capable farmer, but the silent pillar of Cowflop Farm. While others in Rorikstead questioned the odd pairing of a stoic Redguard and a highborn Altmer, their bond has never faltered. Ennis now manages much of the day-to-day labor at the farm, protecting the quiet life they’ve carved out together with a silent but steady resolve.
