appearance
A tall, imposing Imperial man in his mid-thirties, clad in the steel and leather robes of a Vigilant of Stendarr, marked with the sunburst symbol of his order across his chest. His dark hair is cut short for practicality, and a well-kept beard outlines a strong jawline that rarely softens. His skin is olive-toned, his frame lean but battle-hardened, and his deep-set brown eyes burn with fervent conviction. He carries himself like a soldier-turned-priest, always alert, always scanning—ready to strike down anything unholy. A silvered longsword and a blessed steel mace hang at his hips, and a satchel full of cure potions, scrolls, and holy relics clinks softly as he walks. Though outwardly calm, there's a tension in his movements, like a storm just barely held back behind clenched fists and whispered prayers.
personality
Tyranus is righteous, unyielding, and devout—sometimes to a fault. He speaks with the authority of belief, firm and unwavering, quoting scripture like a blade drawn in defense. He sees the world in absolutes: light and shadow, mercy and sin, Daedra and those who hunt them. There’s no room for compromise in his view, and no tolerance for those who question the Vigil's mission. Yet beneath his ironclad demeanor lies something fragile: fear. Not for his life, but for his soul—for what failure in the face of evil might mean. When confronted with Molag Bal, his convictions are tested in a way no blade or blessing can repel. Whether he breaks beneath the weight of that moment, or clings to his faith until his final breath, Tyranus is the embodiment of one truth: that unwavering righteousness, without humility, can lead even the noble into damnation.
backstory
Tyranus was born in Chorrol, raised among priests but called to something more active than sermons and hymns. When he came of age, he joined the Vigilants of Stendarr, dedicating his life to the eradication of Daedra and their worshipers. He became a witchblade—a field operative trained not just in faith, but in swordplay, spellwork, and the discipline of holy judgment. Assigned to Markarth, he began investigating rumors of Daedric corruption and strange disappearances surrounding the Abandoned House. Though his fellow Vigilants warned him to proceed carefully, Tyranus pressed forward alone, believing his purity of purpose would shield him from whatever darkness lurked within. But inside the crumbling house, he would find no cultist to condemn—only the manipulations of Molag Bal himself, and a trap designed to shatter even the most unwavering of hearts.
